I work with the approach of exploring the language from a rich variation of aspects, but especially connecting to the sounds and the rhythm, the eagerness to acquire more vocabulary and the curiosity to understand how our culture reflects on the way we speak. However, I also recognize the importance of grammar and, in my experience, my students and I have been analyzing these aspects from a much easier place. For me, it is very important that the student feels comfortable and confident when speaking Portuguese.
