The cutter works very well but it needs adjustments right out of the box. The slot where the blade go have a layer of paint that prevent the blades from cutting into the wood. After filing the paint away from that area the blades fit a lot better and made very short work of the logs with very nice clean ends

It takes a little bit to get it to bite, ended up using a draw knife to start a bevel makes it a lot easier

must have powder coat removed to work! At first the cutter blade could not enter the cutting area, Sand off the powder caot where the blade sits and the inside beveled edge. Also where the 1 1/2 ” tunnel where the cut tenon goes. Then it worked good for me. Almost worth the less paid price paid.
These are a joke that’s all I will say Awesome

I was skeptical about getting these but was I wrong , these are freaking awesome. If you are wanting to make ladders and handrail and pickets these are what you need . I don’t see much need for the 1” one but all of the ones above 1” are the best
